Dear Maurice,

Several years ago, 1998 or 1999, when you were ministering in Word Of Life Church in Tartu, Estonia, I was very sick (it was kinda flu and I had had very high temperature for a week almost with no signs of getting better.) I came to a sunday-morning service where you were playing violin. During your play I suddenly felt warm and mild feeling inside me and I knew it was God who had healed me at that very moment. I was so glad. When you finished the playing, you said something like that: "God has already healed some of you during my play."  And I was one of them.

When I went home, I felt myself well and the temperature didn't come back anymore. I was healed. It was a great miracle for me, I had never before got healed this way. Praise to God! Thank you for your ministry and I hope you are doing well. It's great you have an internet-site, so I can see you are alright.

I like your music very much, especially Jewish melodies. I like that you are jewish that makes the whole thing so special.

Dear Maurice

I just want to thank you so much for coming out to minister at Rock of Faith Church on Saturday night. It is refreshing to someone that's genuine in the representation of Christ's character and His humility. I would particularly like to express my thankfulness to you for being so cordial, gracious, and patient in working to maintain the flow of the Spirit at the end of the meeting while people were being prayed for. Your example of balance between zeal, humility, and self-control will be influential to many leaders in the body of Christ in days to come.

Dear Dr. Sklar,

Hello! I was at the End Time Hand Maidens World Convention last week in St. Louis and heard you play. As you played, not only with such amazing musical skill, but with such adoration to the Lord, God really touched my heart. As I saw how you gave all the glory to the Lord, and were not self-conscious, but God-conscious, it spoke to me about how our attitude should be in every area of life--being so totally wrapped up in the glory of the Lord that we forget about ourselves and just worship. I danced with the group as you played the Jewish medley, and as you played "Holy, Holy, Holy" the Lord brought four different visions to my spirit. In one of them, I could see the Lord looking upon you with greatest pleasure, as though He were saying, "I am so pleased with you, My son. The worship you are pouring out before me comes up to me as a sweet savor and I love it when you play to me." Thank you for your willingness to offer the skills God has given you, back to Him and His body. You will never know till eternity how many lives you have touched.

One of my dreams since I was a little girl was to attend Julliard as a piano performance major. My senior year of high school I was practicing 40+ hours per week, sometimes putting in 10 hours per day on the piano. This past year I was offered a music scholarship to a local University, but the Lord led me to turn it down. It was almost crushing to lay on the altar what I had worked so hard for. It was very difficult, but I had to just say, "Lord I don't understand but I trust you." When I saw you play, I thought, "That is so perfect, to hear classical excellence and the worship of the Lord combined." It inspired me! If the Lord ever does fulfill the dreams within my heart, I hope that I could use them for Him in the way that you have, and bring honor to the only One Who is worthy of all we have and all we are.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to bring glory to His name!

I so appreciated your teaching this week on MUSIC AND HEALING.

I wanted to share with you that a few years back, I was in a deep depression, with no desire to live and no hope that I could. (I was a Christian at the time and loved the Lord with all my heart!! ) But because of circumstances in my life, I didn't want to go on. I have always been a worshipper but at that time I could no longer worship or even cry.  One day, for some reason, I played one of your CD's (El Shaddai), a particular song (Track 3) began to bring life back into my aching heart. I set the "repeat " button for only that song and played it continuously for several weeks!

One day the Lord reached down and pulled me up out of that horrible pit and told me that I would make it (I've held on to that Word ever since!)  Even the tears came back. Thank you for you music!!! and I thank my Wonderful Lord and Redeemer for the anointing in your life and work. God Bless you !!

Dear Maurice and Devorah,

The meeting on Sunday was glorious. God had His way with me. I praise Him for all His plans for my life. There were many healings, both in the spirit and in the physical. This began a NEW BEGINNING for this small church. God showed me what He is doing through me for His glory.  I learned a new lesson. I am always learning from Him. He is wonderful, powerful, glorious and His reign will last for an eternity. I received your prayers Saturday and Sunday with an opened spirit. God honored my faith. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers as I keep you in mine.  See you soon.

Hi Dr Maurice and Deborah,

We met at Lighthouse Evangelism after the 7:00 PM service. I can't express how much I was ministered to by your playing, Praise God! I am a rather new believer, less than a year old in Christ. I'm a rather reserved person and music is a way which I can express myself best. I love music and I love playing with people and for people. I knew my musical abilities were God's gift but I didn't know how to use them, much less use the violin to worship Him. Hence, I started learning the guitar late last year and sometimes also worship Him on the piano. I still have a long way to go in learning to worship God with music. But it was only until tonight that I realised there're so much possibilities with the violin too!

Before I accepted Christ, my dream was to play in small bands / orchestras around the world as I simply love making music together. After I accepted Christ, my dream was to play in worship teams, minister to people, bring people to Christ with music and bring glory to God. And by faith and after Dr Maurice's prayer tonight, I know I'm one step closer.

Dear Maurice and Devorah,

It was such a joy to see you at Beth Israel last November. When I first became a believer in Yeshua on February 7, 1999.  I was still in the depths and despair of a very severe depression. Suffice to say as a new Jewish 64 year old survior of the early Holocaust it was very difficult for my heart and mind to connect how Jesus had been in my life from "before I was in my Mother's womb".

I was blessed to have heard Maurice play at the Radisson Hotel in Englewood, NJ in 2000 and met you Devorah for the first time in 2001.  Again, I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw you at Beth Israel. Devorah, you graciously gave me some of Maurice's CDs when I helped you after the service.

I did not play any of them until last Saturday when The Lord put it on my heart to play "In HIS Presence". (Psalm 16:11 has been one of my favorie verses and appears on the back of my Hellalujah card.) I must tell you that I have never been as blessed by any music in my life as I was and am by the anointed gift of Maurice's playing. I played it all day long and was enveloped by peace and joy by listening to it.

I also have a friend who bought the In Zion CD at Beth Israel that same nite. He is going thru a rough walk as he only became a believer last August. I spoke with him last week and he told me he plays that CD all the time.

What a blessing you both are in these trying times - "the end times".

May The Lord continue to bless the two of you mightily!!!!!!!

Dear Maurice,

My wife and I want to thank you for your concert-ministry at Christ Fellowship of Indianapolis. It wasn't anything like I thought it would be like. The music was moving and inspiring but when you put your violin down and ministered to our worship leaders it changed the church as a whole. I had been studying that week about excellence and obedience. God provided a live example in your presence here. Thank you again for your excellent music and for being obedient to the Holy Spirit to prophesy into the people we are so close to! May God Continue to Bless You for keeping Him First!
